Wilderness Medical Kits

This workshop is geared toward helping participants design their own medical kit; beginning from a pocket full of bandaids to the example of Dr. Smith’s complex Search and Rescue Medical Kit. The basic principles of medical kit preparation will be discussed (such as size of group, terrain, remoteness of area, skill level of providers, etc.). There will be a hands-on portion to expose the student to new EMS and other medical technologies that can be taken to the wilderness to care for patients.
