Advancement of pre-hospital care on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan is pushing a new approach to EMS. How should these experiences be implemented on the streets of EMS here at home? This lecture will look at some of the hot topics of tourniquet use, hemostatic agents and rearranging our ABCs to CAB. Tactical Emergency Casualty Care and Rescue Task Force concepts will be introduced as an approach to mass violence and active shooter situations.
